Our Story & Philosophy
“The secret to a real bagel is patience: you cannot rush wild yeast and boiling water.”
Battlefield Bagel Co. was started by husband-and-wife bakers who missed the authentic chew of old-school kettle-boiled bagels. We mix our dough using heritage grains milled right here in the Commonwealth, boil every bagel in malted water, and bake them on cedar boards dusted with sesame, poppy, and everything seeds. Nothing rushed, no preservatives, just pure crust and chew.
